Scopus Appoints New Team Managers After Restructuring

Scopus Network Technologies has added two new members to its executive management team. Isaac Ben-Bassat is joining Scopus as a new vice president of R&D and Tamir Galili is the new vice president of sales.

The company is plotting a new direction toward developing end-to-end systems. To achieve this, the board of directors decided to split sales and marketing into two separate units, and has made the two appointments to lead them.

Galili recently served as the vice president of sales at M-Systems. He holds an MBA and is an engineer by training. Bassat has nine years experience in leading and managing R&D groups and activities. He joined Scopus from Gilat Satellite Networks, where he was the senior director of the satellite IP product line. He has a BSc in electrical engineering and holds three registered patents.

Scopus also restructured its Professional Services Department to provide end-to-end systems design and integrations services. These include compression systems, conditional access systems, subscriber management systems and set-top boxes approval.
