Track officials at NASCAR’s Aug. 4 Busch Series race in Montreal used Riedel’s intercom systems for communication. The Riedel system was recommended by Solotech, which helped NASCAR with the integration and implementation of audio equipment.
The Performer C44 System Interface, Performer C3 Digital Beltpack and Performer C31 Split box provided communication for flag station, tower control and race control members, said Reidel.
“Riedel’s state-of-the-art equipment provided us with high-quality audio, was easy to use and a snap to setup,” said Special Project Manager Eric Massicotte of Solotech.
The C44 System Interface is a 19-inch, 1 RU unit that converts four 2-channel CAT5 matrix ports to four powered beltpack lines. For standalone use, the device features an integrated audio matrix.
The C3 is a digital 2-channel beltpack with popular analog partyline system features, including daisy-chaining. It has three XLR connectors: one for headset, one for signal input and one for signal loop-through. Solotech used 41 Performer C3 Beltpacks on 26,000 feet of AES/EBU digital cable.
The C31 splits one XLR3 input signal onto three XLR3 signal outputs. It can be powered by the C44 System Interface or with an external power supply for extra long cable runs.
