Prime Television, a major Australian and New Zealand broadcaster, has selected Dalet Digital Media Systems to provide a complete news production environment.
The integrated DaletPlus News Suite toolset allows more Prime personnel to participate in the news production process.
Prime chose the DaletPlus News Suite as its newsroom production and broadcast solution.
Prime operates from 19 locations throughout Australia and New Zealand and offers around-the-clock programming and several daily news bulletins. The installation of the DaletPlus News Suite will enable Prime’s Australian regional locations to produce and broadcast news at the local level.
The implementation, which was recently completed, provides Prime with a fully integrated all-digital newsroom environment. From a single-user interface, newsroom personnel can access tools for writing scripts, media ingest, editing, closed captioning, scheduling and planning, playout and archiving.
The integrated DaletPlus News Suite toolset allows more Prime personnel to participate in the news production process. Journalists in all areas can browse wires, write scripts, clip and edit video, insert synchronized closed captions and record voiceovers -all from their desktop. Media is stored for shared access by all locations. News Directors can easily review and approve stories in progress.
