Prime Image releases HD/SD video time management

The new Time Tailor HD/SD reduces program run time through a patented time reduction process.

Prime Image has announced the availability of its Time Tailor HD/SD, a multi-resolution time management system.

Time Tailor HD/SD reduces program run time through a patented time reduction process. Time reduction occurs in real-time without pre-recording, pre-processing, or compromising the integrity of the program. The amount of additional time created and the time duration over which it is created is programmable as well as variable.

The Time Tailor HD/SD creates up to 30 seconds of additional time in a 20 to 30-minute program. Optional features allow for the creation of as much as two-and-one-half minutes of additional time. Time Tailor HD/SD continues to report black-hole presence during and following the reduction process.

Time Tailor Post HD/SD adds the Fastrack TT user interface, which automates the entire process while simultaneously controlling the source machine, the Time Tailor, and the recorder to frame accurately start playback, processing, and recording during the time reduction process.

Through the user interface, the operator enters all necessary parameters: the source time code, record time code, the locations for insertion or removal of back segments or show material, the insertion of slate, bars and tone, and the amount of time to be removed. During a single pass of the source material identified redundant frames are removed until the desired run length is met, even allowing for different percentages of frames to be removed from specified segments.
