Pixel Power Names Mike O’Connell Its New Business Development VP

Pixel Power, a leading power of broadcast graphics systems, has appointed Mike O’Connell as the company’s vice president for business development.

O’Connell will be responsible for increasing Pixel Power’s North American market growth and in fostering relationships with customers.

The company’s CEO, Pete Challinger recognized O’Connell’s addition to the company and acknowledged both his engineering and a problem solving skill set, as well as his knowledge of the international broadcast electronics community.

“Mike’s long experience on both sides of the relationship--as an engineer and solution provider--will make him an invaluable partner for our customers,” said Challinger. “Pixel Power prides itself on maintaining an intimate knowledge of and support for its customers’ requirements. As the company expands its presence in North America, one of our top priorities is to bring the same high degree of attention and insight that customers in Europe and other parts of the world expect from Pixel Power.”

O’Connell previously served as general manager for the Australian subsidiary of Gencom, and has also been with Quartz Electronics in the capacity of executive vice president. His background also includes studio engineering work at TV3 Network, NZ and Television New Zealand.

O’Connell will be based at Pixel Power’s U.S. headquarters in Burbank, Calif.
