he Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association has seen some major changes to its staffing lately. It recently promoted several key employees. James Ashurst, was promoted from director of Communications to senior director of Communications, Alex Breckon, from director of Business Development to senior marketing director, and Eric Chang, from marketing director to senior marketing director. In addition, SBCA board member Stan Kozlowski resigned, due to differences with SBCA policy.

TANDBERG Television recently announced the promotion of Eric Cooney, its current vice president and general manager for the Americas, to the position of chief operating officer. In this position, he will retain ultimate responsibility for the Americas business unit and will oversee the companyâs world-wide engineering, research, and development; product management, and business development.

Leitch recently tapped Margaret Craig to be the new president and chief executive officer of its Leitch Technology division. Craig will succeed John MacDonald, who recently resigned. Prior to her promotion, Craig was chief operating officer of the company. In her new post, she will manage the market position of each of the companyâs lines of business. Margaret Dismukes has joined VPTâs marketing department in the capacity of Business Development. Dismukes will look to expand the companyâs services in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and other markets. This includes an increased marketing effort within Texas and a five-state region. Prior to VPT, Dismukes was the Broadcast Department Librarian at Temerlin McClain.

Northern Lights Post has announced the addition of Andrea Rhodes to its staff as head of Sales/New Business. Rhodes comes to Northern Lights Post following a stint at The Shooting Gallery, where she assisted in the development of the now-defunct production/post-production companyâs in-house advertising agency.

Rick Schultz has been hired on by QuVIS as its business development manager for the Eastern U.S. He will be responsible for cultivating new clients in broadcast, large screen and corporate display, production, and audio/video rental markets for the QuBit line of high resolution digital motion image server/recorder/ players. Prior to joining QuVIS, Schultz served as Midwest regional sales manager for Vinten.
