NHL’s Blue Jackets install Daktronics dasher board display at Nationwide Arena

The Columbus Blue Jackets of the NHL have installed a digital LED dasher board display at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, OH.

Designed, manufactured and installed by Daktronics, of Brookings, SD, the new display is one of only a handful of dasher board-type installations. This type of display uses Daktronics LED technology installed in the ice-level rink board and measures more than 2ft by 9ft.

Daktronics’ LED-base dasher board displays show fans colorful advertisements, crowd prompts and a wide variety of other interactive content. They can be integrated with other displays or as a stand-alone unit.

The Columbus Blue Jackets were founded as an expansion team in 2000 and are members of the Central Division of the Western Conference. The team qualified for their first Stanley Cup Playoff appearance in 2009.
