The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) Technical Department has a new director: Sharad Sadhu took up the position on 10 September.
Sadhu has worked with the ABU since 1993, most recently as head of transmission technology and spectrum. He was formerly director of engineering for satellite services at Doordarshan in India, as well as general manager of the Broadcast Engineering Division of Telecom Consultants India Ltd.
Sadhu replaces Wayne Heads who returned to New Zealand in July after completing his four-year contract with the ABU.
