How do you put on a successful SBE regional convention?
That's one of the questions that will be discussed by a new national committee formed by the SBE. It's called the Regional Convention Strategies Committee.
President Ray Benedict named Vinny Lopez of Syracuse to chair the group.
"The purpose of the committee is to encourage growth, foster development and exchange of ideas among the many regional conventions sponsored by SBE chapters throughout the country," SBE said in the announcement. Benedict said there are at least 10 strong regional, state and local conventions.
"It is only logical to pool the resources and experiences of the people involved in these efforts."
SBE has 5,500 members in 109 chapters.
