Microwave Radio Communications has earned a patent for the technology in its TwinStream system that enables the transmission of analog and digital information signals.
The patent covers the company's technology for processing, transmitting and receiving combined legacy analog NTSC and digital ATSC signals over one 25-MHz channel.
TwinStream offers a solution to the requirement of carrying analog NTSC and the digital HD signal within an existing 25-MHz STL, lowers the cost of multicarrier applications and eliminates latency issues.
