MPEGIF Master Class to offer view of digital TV future

The MPEG Industry Forum (MPEGIF) Master Class at IBC2009 will examine the future direction of DTV, offering up insight from senior executives and experts who will discuss how DTV technology is progressing as well as regulatory and commercial issues.

Scheduled for Monday, Sept. 14, “The Future of Digital Television” will delve into a variety of important issues including evolving digital media standards for various technologies, including 3-D television and unicast on-demand content delivered over the public Internet; hybrid services bringing broadcast and unicast content together in a common platform; multiscreen service evolution and repurposing of content for viewing on various end-user devices; and aspects of next-generation digital broadcast from mobile and online video to HD.
