Modulation Sciences releases MSI-3300 audio processor for television

Modulation Sciences has introduced the MSI-3300, a multi-function television audio processor built specifically to handle the unique demands of television audio.

Modulation Sciences' Model MSI-3300 television audio processor AES/EBU/Analog is a multifunction unit that combines analog-to-AES3 and AES3- (with automatic speed detection) to-analog conversion along with a superb gain riding and transmission audio processor.

Television audio ranges from speech during news to highly produced spots, music to sports with background noise. Conventional audio processors, with several interacting controls, offer tremendous flexibility, but are challenging to setup, which can be troublesome when dealing with the realities of diverse television program material.

Broadcast processors intended for FM radio also do not fair well in television. Television requires smart gain riding and peak limiting.

The MSI-3300 is a multifunction unit that combines analog-to-AES3 and AES3- (with automatic speed detection) to-analog conversion along with a superb gain riding and transmission audio processor.

The MSI-3300 conditions audio for transmission in cable modulators, satellite uplinks, fiber modulators, STLs and other microwave channels, aural transmitters, cable stereo generators and perceptional coders, such as MPEG and Dolby AC3 and E.
