National Association of Broadcasters has named Michael S. Williams its chief financial officer and executive vice president of finance and operations. Williams, 46, starts at NAB this week.
Williams has experience at top financial positions at several multimillion dollar organizations, including executive vice president at the Motion Picture Association of America and executive vice president of finance and operations at the Recording Industry Association of America. He also helped establish SoundExchange, a nonprofit performance rights organization that represents recording artists and record companies.
Williams is a CPA and has worked at both Arthur Andersen & Co. and at Ernst & Young earlier in his career. He is a native of Bethesda, Md. and holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Maryland.
