K-Will, a Torrance, Calif.-based manufacturer of video measurement equipment, has announced that it has been acquired by Taiwan-based semiconductor manufacturer MediaTek.
The acquisition is expected to provide more innovative audio and video quality evaluation technology.
"We're excited about the infinite possibilities this acquisition provides for product development and market penetration," said John Alexenko, general manager for the Americas at K-Will. "By combining MediaTek's semiconductor innovations with K-Will's award-winning technologies, we are positioned to offer even more best-in-class video quality measuring and monitoring technologies."
K-Will will remain in Torrance, but plans are being made to move the operation to a new facility there to allow for growth.
