London re-seller root6 has announced the appointment of Mark Jackson as UK Sales Director. Jackson, who will also serve on the root6 board, joins from Avid Technology where he was Key Account Manager for London-based postproduction.
Prior to his five year stint at Avid, Jackson had a wealth of sales management experience in the broadcast and post sectors serving in senior positions at Tyrell and Metro.
"I'm very excited to be working with a team of the calibre of root6," said Jackson. "This is a particularly exciting time with many new challenges and I look forward very much to furthering the company's success."

Formed more than ten years ago by a group of senior ex-Avid employees, root6 complements its reseller activity with facility-wide technical support, a systems integration arm and the product development division, ROOT6 Technology.
