Mainframe invests over £1.2 million in expansion project

London-based motion graphics, animation and vfx specialist Mainframe, has invested in new equipment and staff to coincide with a forthcoming move to its new facility in Clarkenwell. The expansion follows on from the opening of Mainframe North in Manchester.

The new site provides additional space for current and future expansion and Mainframe has bought the property outright for just under £1 million. The new facility will be furnished with £200,000 worth of new kit, including an additional five Maya seats and new work stations built around Mac and Boxx technologies. Mainframe has also recruited four new animators.

"We feel very fortunate to be expanding like this in such an uncertain economic climate. It would feel like a bit too much of a risk if it weren't for the steady flow of repeat and new business that's coming our way," Mainframe's MD, Adam Jenns, said.
