(click thumbnail)Columbus, Ohio-based Lyon Video has acquired 22 Fujinon HD lenses for the company’s two new high-end 53 foot expanding HD production trucks.
The lens package includes:
- Two XA101X8.9BESM telephoto field lenses;
- Five XA72X9.3ESM zooms;
- Two ZA12X4.5BERM wide-angle ENG-Style lenses;
- Eight ZA22X7.6BERM telephoto ENG-Style lenses.
Lyon Video President Bob Lyon said the company acquired its first professional camera lens through Fujinon more than 20 years ago.
“Ever since we put that first lens into service, we’ve been pleased with the quality and durability that comes with the Fujinon brand,” Lyon said. “When you consider the array of variety conditions and locations our business demands, be it outside in the rain or extreme temperatures, the performance has been exceptional.”
Lyon Video’s new truck was designed for high-end sports and entertainment event production, and it will be used on live broadcasts for a variety of clients, including ESPN, Fox, NBC and Fox Sports Net.
Lyon Video works directly with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons for all home games. Mobile Unit 5 HD will begin operation this month for the first time, and Mobile Unit 9 HD will hit the road in August.
