London’s The Look adds Quantel Pablo Neo

Looking to increase productivity at its bustling facility, London post boutique house, The Look, has expanded and upgraded its Quantel suite to full Pablo specification, complete with a Neo grading panel. It has also added a second grading suite comprising a Quantel eQ finishing system with the QColor grading option.

The facility said the addition of a second suite would give it the freedom to continue color correction work on the Pablo while another team does the rest of the work on the eQ. The Look said it wants to stay small enough to give clients personal service but have the flexibility to be able to respond to short notice projects and changes.

The Neo panel, the facility said, gives it new tools and makes grading faster, intuitive and more comfortable — which will make a big difference in long-form post production.

The Look specializes in long-form and commercial work. Recent projects include two of 2009’s UK BBC drama series — “Desperate Romantics” and “Criminal Justice 2,” as well as commercials for Gordon’s Gin and Unilever’s Impulse.
