LG Taps Tek for Oscilloscopes

LG Electronics has recently purchased Digital Phosphor Oscilloscopes (DPO) from Tektronix.

"They [the DPOs] provide not only the banner specifications and signal fidelity needed to address high-speed data rates, but also the solution set our engineers need to be more efficient and confident throughout the design and test cycle," said Young-Seok Yang, chief engineer, TV Division of LG Electronics.

The TDS5054B, TDS5104, TDS7054, TDS7104, and TDS7404B DPOs are used to measure the latest digital TV designs. The TDS5000B series displays, stores and analyzes complex signals in real-time. The TDS7000B series has a Silicon Germanium (SiGe)-based triggering system and DPO technology.
