Klotz Digital has partnered with SmartAV--a manufacturer of audio production consoles--to provide integrated production equipment.
Under the agreement, Klotz Digital will integrate its variable audio distribution interface system (VADIS) with the SmartAV suite of production consoles via a TCP/IP interface. The VADIS audio/media platform acts as an engine for the control surfaces provided by Australian-based SmartAV.
With the combined technologies, several control locations can share sources, signal routing and splitting. Additionally, the VADIS platform has remote input and output capabilities that are connected via fiber-optic cabling.
"This is another step along the VADIS strategy of an open audio platform concept," said David Spargo, GM of Klotz Digital Australia.
