Miranda Technologies has won an order from Italian television and satellite systems provider Videe for its Kaleido-X product. The new Kaleido will be installed in Unit 10, Videe's new high definition OB truck.
The 12 camera truck will be used to cover a wide mix of major sporting and musical events in the months ahead. Based around Miranda's Kaliedo-X multi-image display system the truck has 96 video inputs across nine 46" plasma screens, including camera feeds, satellite feeds, external OB vehicle feeds, VTRs and AVS recordings.
Each Kaleido-X output can be controlled completely independently via remote panels or on-screen mouse control from the truck's audio, production and vision control desks. The monitoring layouts are customisable to suit different productions for greater flexibility, while the XEdit multi-room layout editor ensures that content from multiple sources can be shared between multiple operators.

We needed an advanced multi-image monitoring system for the truck, which is already handling HD video and multi-channel audio. Kaleido-X's effective multi-operator control and outstanding image quality made it the obvious choice."
