In an effort to convert the aging broadcast facilities in Iraq, the country's new government will be using Broadcast Technology Showman 5000 analog TV demodulators to provide high-quality off-air monitoring of television signals. U.K.-based Broadcast Technology is working as a partner with Harris Broadcast to re-build the television infrastructure in Iraq in a project called the Iraqi Media Network (IMN).
As part of the IMN, Harris is constructing studios, transmitters sites and a satellite distribution network throughout Iraq. IMN also includes facilities for a national newspaper.
