ITA's goal is to accelerate iTV deployment in the US through consumer awareness, cross-industry outreach and promoting iTV technology. Its board members hail from content advertising, distribution, data/commerce, marketing, production, applications and hardware, among others. Chairman Cohen says the cross-section of industries represents a commitment to iTV. "We've rolled up our shirtsleeves and gone to work. We're in agreement: we can't passively wait for all the pieces to fall into place. We need to proactively combine forces to insure that iTV will be widely available in the next two years, instead of ten years from now."

The iTV alliance, managed by 2degree Partners, recently held its Annual Meeting at Broadband Plus, The New Western Show in Anaheim, Calif.
