Intel CEO to Keynote CES 2003

Intel Corp. CEO Craig Barrett is scheduled to give the keynote address at the 2003 International Consumer Electronics Show, which will be held in Las Vegas from Jan. 9-12. The theme of the convention will be "Your Source for Workstyle and Lifestyle Technology," and will be sponsored by the Consumer Electronics Association.

Intel is the world's largest chipmaker and a developer of computer, networking and communications products. It created the first microprocessor in 1971, and has been at the forefront of computer developments that have changed consumer technology.

Craig has worked for Intel since 1974 and was appointed president in 1997 and CEO in 1998. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Stanford University and is a member of the National Academy of Engineering.
