Bran Ferren, co-chairman and chief creative officer of Applied Minds, has been named as the keynote speaker for the Society of Motion Picture & Television Engineers’(SMPTE) upcoming technical conference and exhibition, at the New York Marriott in Brooklyn, NY, on October 24-27.
Ferren is a designer and technologist working in entertainment, product development, engineering, architecture and the sciences. He is former president of research and development, and creative technology for Walt Disney Imagineering.
This year’s conference will include sessions about live action content creation, synthesis and computer generation, and 3-D stereoscopic production.
