Broadcasters planning to attend this year’s IBC conference in Amsterdam have less than one month to plan their trip and convention experience. Fortunately, show organizers have made the process easy.

The international conference and exposition, Sept. 11 through Sept. 16, will bring together industry leaders and vendors in a wide-ranging forum to explore topics as diverse as broadcasting and digital content delivered via the Web.
The IBC Web site, www.ibc.org, offers a number of tools to make pre-convention planning simple. Among the on-line resources IBC offers to make attending the conference easier and more productive are:
- Pre-registration. IBC’s on-line pre-registration service eliminates the need to stand in slow-moving on-site registration lines. Pre-registrants simply pick up their badges in Amsterdam and are ready to go.
- Exhibit catalog. Use IBC’s on-line exhibitor catalog to select which companies to visit before arriving at the show. The catalog can be searched by company name, booth number or product category. It provides a wealth of information, including booth number, products to be exhibited, booth personnel and links to company Web sites.
- Handy floor plan. At the IBC site, a clear, simple-to-use floor plan depicts the lay of the land, delineating separate areas for media creation, management and delivery.
- Product locator. Search 342 product categories to learn which companies offer technology of interest to map out a convention floor strategy before ever setting foot in Amsterdam.
- Conference program. IBC’s on-line conference reference details the content of sessions to help attendees identify relevant program items.
- E-pressroom. The IBC Web site newsroom offers the latest in industry news, product announcements and updates.
- IBC TV news. Available as Windows Media Player or Real Player, the IBC TV news offers up-to-minute reports on interesting topics by the conference’s crack news team.
- PDA show guide. At the end of this month, attendees will be able to download exhibitor information, floor plans and conference program material for use in their handheld computers.
