LG Electronics and LodgeNet Entertainment have teamed up to bring HD programming hotels via satellite and terrestrial broadcast signals.
The system uses an LG transcoder to convert both satellite- and broadcast-delivered DTV signals for delivery through a hotel's coaxial cable to the off-air DTV tuners that will be built into nearly all TVs over the next three years in accordance with FCC regulations.
All satellite and off-air HD content will be integrated with LodgeNet's sigNETure TV system along with on-demand movies, music, TV programming and games.
