Harris is delivering nine Atlas Series TV transmitters and four Platinum Z10 FM radio transmitters to Bulgarian transmission and telecommunications services provider BTC Group (БТК), headquartered in Sofia.
The new transmitters will modernize the TV and radio infrastructure across Bulgaria, readying BTC Group for the upcoming transition of its terrestrial networks to DVB-T.
The Atlas TV transmitters range from 10 kW to 40 kW. All are digital-ready and can be upgraded in the field. Local Harris dealer New-Tek Ltd. is helping with the decommissioning of the old transmitters and the installation of the new ones.
