Game Creek Video uses Videotek for HD production trucks

Veteran mobile production company Game Creek Video has selected the Videotek TVM series of test instruments from Harris for its latest HD production trucks. This includes an upgrade of its INTREPID mobile unit to accommodate HD signals and a new, all-HD truck for Fox Sports. Game Creek’s mobile units have been used for such high-profile events such as the World Series, the Super Bowl, the NBA Finals and the NBA All-Star Game, the Masters and the Kentucky Derby.

Game Creek Video purchased nine Videotek TVM-900 multiformat HD/SD-SDI signal analyzers (with integrated LCD displays) for the 53ft INTREPID mobile production truck. Two Videotek TVM-950-E multiformat HD/SD-SDI signal analyzers, each with an advanced audio analysis option, have been ordered for the new Fox Sports truck, which will be used to provide HD coverage of NASCAR racing and NFL football this year.

The Videotek TVM series features all percent digital signal processing for an accurate, stable display of single or multiple Waveform, Vector, Gamut, Audio, Picture, Timing and Data Analyzer functions in quadrant or full-screen views. Capabilities include advanced analysis tools and an extensive alarm set with peak level reporting. Dolby metadata, EIA-608, 708 closed caption, Teletext and XDS data are decoded and displayed as well. Remote interfaces include 10/100BaseT Ethernet and USB ports, which support SDI frame-capture and transfer, and also provide mouse control. The Videotek TVM-950 is unique in its ability to display and evaluate up to four input sources, in up to four different formats, simultaneously.

Options include HD/SD Eye Pattern, additional HD/SD-SDI, SD-SDI or analog composite inputs, eight channels of analog, AES/EBU and embedded audio processing, with CineSound Surround display, Dolby Digital and Dolby E decoding.
