Fujinon intros new optical stabilizer for ENG lenses

Fujinon’s TS-P58A provides an anti-vibration range of up to 20 percent of picture height to reduce unwanted vibration and image shifting.

Fujinon has introduced the TS-P58A, a new optical stabilization system for ENG lenses.

Providing an anti-vibration range of up to 20 percent, the TS-P58A utilizes the company’s OS-TECH image stabilization technology to deliver steady shots and keep after-shaking to a minimum when shooting with high-magnification lenses. It is designed for the full range of Fujinon’s HD and SD ENG telephoto lenses.

The TS-P58A reduces unwanted vibration and image shifting caused by even the most subtle motion. It employs an optical shift system with a vibration detection sensor that compensates for shifting light rays that occur when an image vibrates. Its image stabilization ability immediately improves the quality of extreme close-ups taken during windy or otherwise unstable conditions.

The TS-P58A fits “sandwich-style” between the camera and lens. The anti-vibration function can be activated from the control-setting switch near the operator’s hand. It can provide image compensation both vertically and horizontally.

The adaptor measures 58mm x 120mm x 144mm and weighs approximately 1.0 kg. It is adaptable to all Fujinon ENG-style lenses, including: the HA13x4.5, HA18x7.6, HA22x7.8, HA22x7.3, HA25x16.5, HA25x11.5, HA36x10.5, HA42x9.7, HA42x13.5, A13x4.5, A18x7.6, A22x7.8, A36x10.5, A36x14.5, A42x9.7, and A42x13.5. The unit fits on a 2/3in B-type Bayonet mount.
