Fox News Channel Goes HD
By TVTechnology published
Bill O’Reilly never looked so good, now that Fox News Channel launched its high-definition doppelgänger.
The service rolled out May 1 initially to Time Warner Cable subscribers in parts of New York City and the Hudson Valley. TWC has also agreed to carry the channel in San Antonio, Texas.
The channel will have a 4:3 picture with extra content in the “wings” or pillars on 16:9 TVs.
“We look forward to Fox News HD further enhancing the overall viewing experience of the number one cable news channel by delivering content through state-of-the-art technology,” said Tim Carry, Fox News vice president of affiliate sales.
