AFA designs, builds, installs, and supports mission-critical technical systems for broadcast, cable, business, themed entertainment, and related markets. We enable our clients to meet hard launch dates and successfully introduce new or upgraded services.

From satellite earth stations to full broadcast station infrastructures, AFA provides a wide range of engineering services. These include consulting; project management; design of baseband, RF, and transport systems; documentation; architectural liaison services; equipment specification; procurement and logistics; off-site pre-wiring; installation; testing; training; and 24/7 after-sale support.

AFA has designed and built broadcast solutions around the world—leveraging established relationships among global industry manufacturers. We are able to access multiple vendors, helping our clients gain the most appropriate and cost-effective hardware and software solutions.

Our project managers and engineers are innovators in the industry, with considerable experience in technically complex, large-scale, and tight time frame installations and upgrades.

At a project launch, AFA is often asked to address conceptual systems design, and performs such services as feasibility studies, workflow analyses, site surveys, budget preparation, and technology and equipment comparisons.

For turnkey systems, AFA’s project manager, as primary point of contact, establishes a team to support the pre-determined scope of work. Lead by the project manager, the team generally consists of design engineers, project specialists, an applications engineer, and administrative support.

Our systems engineers prepare comprehensive systems design packages, which include complete electronic systems drawings and specifications. Architectural specifications are reviewed in detail with both the client and the client’s architect to ensure that the facility’s physical design and the technical requirements are properly coordinated.

After design approval, systems are fabricated and pre-wired to the greatest extent possible in our own facilities, ensuring the highest quality and standards, and minimizing the time it takes to go to air. Our experienced crews install systems on site, perform complete tests, and thoroughly train the client’s staff.

Outsourcing these responsibilities has become the most practical option. It allows clients to concentrate on their core businesses.
