FCC’s Revised Form 323 Went Live This Week

WASHINGTON: The FCC announced that the revised Form 323 will become available on the commission’s electronic filing system Dec. 9. Filers required to complete a biennial ownership report may access the form on and after that date. To assist folks with the form, the FCC’s Media Bureau created a Web page dedicated to it: http://www.fcc.gov/form323. An FAQ section on the site will be updated regularly.

The revised Form 323 requires FCC registration numbers for each individual and entity reported. Obtaining an FRN requires a taxpayer ID number, a Social Security number and/or an Employer ID number. A “Special Use FRN” is available for use with Form 323 only, and not for any other FCC purpose.

The Media Bureau also will hold a workshop and provide step-by-step directions for filling out the form. It will be held Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. EST at the FCC offices in the commission meeting room. It will be accessible via live Webcast at www.fcc.gov/live. Questions can be submitted by email ahead of time to Form323@fcc.gov.
