FCC’s Martin insists he’s staying put

Rumors were swirling that FCC chairman Kevin Martin was going to leave the commission after last week’s media ownership rulemaking.
The man himself says that is not true. “I think there are lots of people that are wanting me to ride off into the sunset,” he told reporters following last week’s FCC meeting. “As a matter of fact, there seems like there’s more and more of them.”
However, Martin ended all speculation. “I’ve got no plans to ride off into the sunset,” he said. “I plan on staying through President Bush’s term.”
