EVS to debut MXF-based support of third party systems

CleanEdit nonlinear editing in news configuration also allows multiple formats to coexist within an edit.

At NAB2004, EVS will roll out MXF-based of content with third party system using formats such as DV, DVCPRO (25/50) and IMX.

EVS also plans to demonstrate the HD LSM-XT and other HD XT-servers in a way that’s similar to how they were employed during the Super Bowl, namely networked and supported by XFile automatic archiving units.

XT servers in both HD and SD often are used in the studio, and XFile enables OB content to be re-stored there without any loss in quality. XBrowse can feed various third party systems, including central storage. The combination SportServer/CleanEdit enables highly efficient editing and finished edits can be rendered and returned to an XT-server for playout.

CleanEdit nonlinear editing in news configuration also allows multiple formats to coexist within an edit. The end-to-end workflow includes voice-over recording on the journalist's desktop and playout is available instantly and can be controlled by station automation.
