Evertz shows 3Gb/s multi-image display processor

Evertz has added a new model to its multi-image display processor technology, which supports up to 3Gb/s SDI inputs and up to two unique display outputs.

The new VIP-A DUO is available in three sizes: eight inputs with up to two outputs, 16 inputs with up to two outputs, and 32 inputs with up to two outputs. The system includes auto-sensing SD, HD, and 3Gb/s (SMPTE 424M) inputs, and each input can be displayed in any size, position or aspect ratio on any display. Both display outputs from the VIP-A DUO are provided over DVI and HD-SDI, which are both available to the user simultaneously.

The VIP-A DUO provides high-quality input reproduction. The hot-swappable device can be populated in any Evertz 7800 multiframe chassis with an option for redundant power supplies.

The processor is VistaLINK-enabled, offering remote monitoring, control and configuration capabilities via Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). And, it can be configured via a Web server interface or card edge. Other key features include automatic aspect ratio adjustment on a source-by-source basis, graticule generation and VITC/HD time code decode.
