Denver, CO--Encoda Systems has acquired Arkemedia Technologies, a U.K.-based digital asset management (DAM) solution provider specifically focused on the media industry.
The acquisition will accelerate the integration of Arkemedia DAM capabilities within Encoda’s full suite of media management, automation, and agency product offerings. Collaboration of development activities between the two companies has been ongoing for the past year. The first product available for general customer release, a dynamic integration between the Encoda D-Series broadcast automation solution and Arkemedia’s advanced DAM database, content ingest manager, and workflow functionality, is currently being readied for introduction at IBC, September 9-14, in Amsterdam.
"Strategically for Encoda Systems, the addition of Arkemedia allows us to extend our leadership in media management, automation, and agency solutions by providing our customers a truly effective integrated digital asset management capability that aids global sales, marketing, syndication, distribution, and delivery of content," said Don Doctor, chairman of the board, Encoda Systems.
"There are terrific synergies between Encoda Systems and Arkemedia Technologies," said Vincenzo Roberti, founder and CEO, Arkemedia Technologies. "We are extremely pleased to be joining a company committed to the media industry and focused on bringing to market innovative solutions that deliver a tangible return on investment."
Arkemedia Technologies will operate as a separate line of business within the Encoda group of companies under the continued leadership of Roberti.
