Editware has formed strategic alliances with Omneon and Ross Video to increase the flexibility of all three manufacturers’ systems. The alliance with Omneon will allow source material stored on Omneon’s multichannel video servers to be edited with Editware’s new Fastrack media controller through a customized control protocol. The alliance with Ross Video will extend the interface between Editware’s editor product line and Ross’ Synergy production switchers, guaranteeing interoperability between the two company’s product lines, sharing of protocol information, and cooperation on development of protocol extensions.
