Pasadena, CA – NewBay Media, a leading publisher of digital content creation media, announced that it has joined with Weynand Training International, a Gold Level Apple Authorized Training Center located in Los Angeles, to offer Apple Certification Courses on Apple’s brand-new version of its leading post-production application - Final Cut Pro 7 – at its upcoming Digital Video Expo (www.dvexpo.com). The event, which is to be held at the Pasadena Convention Center from September 22-24, 2009, will gather thousands of professionals in the content creation industry for three full days of intensive education, training, exhibitions, and networking events.

Since the recent release of Final Cut Pro Studio, Apple’s new version of Final Cut Pro 7 has been creating significant buzz within the professional digital video community. With a host of powerful new features, it is critical for digital video professionals to obtain the instruction necessary to master the new requisite skills and techniques. With that in mind, Digital Video Expo has enlisted expert authors and master trainers to lead its Apple certification training program.

"Continuing education in the latest applications is of paramount importance for digital content creation professionals to remain competitive in this rapidly-changing marketplace,” said David Williams, Conference Chair, Digital Video Expo, and Editor, DV Magazine. "Our growing family of attendees has come to expect the highest-caliber of instruction at our Digital Video Expo events, and we are raising the bar even higher with this year’s Apple Certification Training on Final Cut Pro Studio.”

Diana Weynand is an award winning producer/editor who is a co-owner of Weynand Training International, an Apple Authorized Training Center located in Los Angeles, and is the author of the Apple Pro Training Series books, Final Cut Pro 7, Final Cut Pro 6, 5, & 4, Final Cut Express and Final Cut Pro for Avid Editors, for Peachpit Press as well as other books including, "How Video Works," for Focal Press.

"I can’t wait to teach my new Final Cut Pro 7 certified course with all the Digital Video Expo class participants," said Diana Weynand. "As my FCP 7 book is hot off the press and being released this month, Digital Video Expo is the perfect opportunity for attendees to participate in this exciting, Apple certified training. Loaded with lots of new tips and tricks, the course utilizes four great sets of footage, including TNT’s 'Leverage,' 'Playing For Change,' 'An Accidental Quest for Enlightenment,' and 'SeaWorld,' and teaches the new FCP 7 features. We start the course with basic editing, and move through a comprehensive use of Final Cut Pro 7.”
