Disaster Prompts Upgrade Featuring Broadcast Pix
By TVTechnology published
Students at Union University in Jackson, Tenn. have their television studio back to normal after recovering from a natural disaster.
A tornado in February of 2008 removed the roof from the university’s Jennings Hall, causing extensive water damage. Work began immediately and the studio was operational the following fall.
Where a dated analog switcher once resided sits a Slate 3016 video production system from Broadcast Pix. The Slate 3016 includes a 16x16 router, 12 live inputs, five channels of HD graphics and eight outputs.
Studio redesign and setup was lead by Nashville-based systems integrator M/BITS.
