Dielectric Communications, a division of SPX, recently announced that Garrett VanAtta has been appointed to the position of vice president and general manager of the Raymond, Maine-based antenna company. VanAtta, who has filled upper management positions within SPX since 2001 was promoted from his previous position as Dielectric's vice president of operations.
"Garrett has shown the leadership skills and business acumen necessary for his new assignment, and we look forward to seeing Dielectric continue to grow under his guidance," said Lee Powell, segment president for industrial products and services at SPX. "We're excited to witness his positive influence on the company as Dielectric leverages its position as an industry leader and refines strategies for the new markets ahead."
Prior to joining SPX, VanAtta was employed in a number of senior-level engineering management and production management positions with other firms.
Davis Wilson, the former president of Dielectric, has been promoted to the position of vice president of global aftermarket sales and marketing for SPX Service Solutions.
