DG FasChannel, a Dallas, Texas-based provider of digital media services, has announced the deployment of its latest content delivery platform for television programming applications. The system processes both standard- and high-definition news and syndicated entertainment content on a store and forward basis.
“DG FastChannel remains committed to being the leading solution for content management and delivery,” said DG FastChannel’s chairman and CEO, Scott Ginsburg. “Our HD DMG has distinct advantages for broadcast stations including industry first integrated transcoding capabilities, significant increase in storage and processing, as well as the ability to handle both MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 compression.”
The new delivery platform system includes enhanced content preparation, ingestion, store and forward delivery that is being made available by integration of DG FastChannel’s U.S. regional operations centers. There have also been upgrades and expansions at the company’s New York, Chicago and Los Angeles offices as part of the new initiative.
