Denver DTV on-the-air From Lookout Mountain
By Doug Lung published
Over the past several years RF Report has covered the difficulty Denver broadcasters have had putting up a new tower on Lookout Mountain to provide DTV service to Denver.
I first mentioned the Denver situation in the “Other items of Interest” section of RF Current for April 17, 2000.
After an act of Congress that took away the local government’s authority to stop construction, work started on the tower. Stations are now broadcasting from the new tower. Ken Freed discusses the new site in detail, with photos, in this week’s TV Technology article Denver Finally Gets its DTV.
