Daystar Television Network Installs Miranda Kaleido-X

Miranda Technologies announced that Daystar Television Network installed a Kaleido-X multi-room, multi-image processor in its 40-foot production trailer. The Christian TV broadcaster said its broadcasts reach over 200 countries.

“The layout software for the Kaleido-X is incredibly intuitive, and the picture quality for each display window is superb, regardless of the image size, or how many windows are displayed at any one time,” said Steve McNeal, Daystar Television Network’s Director of Engineering. Moreover, the multi-room design lets many operators control displays independently, each using a separate control panel, which, said McNeal, “has simplified the sharing and presentation of sources.”

According to Miranda, each Kaleido-X frame can display up to 96 HD, SD or Analog inputs, any number of times, in any size, across eight displays of any resolution and orientation, without blocking or grouping restrictions. Multiple frames can be linked to address the large monitoring applications. Built-in routing capability can switch 96 unprocessed inputs to up to 48 HD/SD outputs for feeding baseband monitors and test equipment, thereby saving space and costs.
