New for NAB2004 from da Vinci Systems is the revival plus, an upgrade to the company’s revival restoration system.
The revival plus features all the toolsets of the revival, plus color enhancement functions and several new tools. The revival plus now includes the company’s primary color controls, an imported session list with selected scenes, a preset “Look” library, and an automated toolset for controlling white, black, lift, gain and gamma balance.
The integrated color enhancement module includes master gain, lift and gamma control with finer manual RGB controls. The revival plus’ file system can access DPX files directly from a network or SAN. In addition, the system includes an interactive interface for stabilization and scratch removal, enabling users to stabilize sequences that include varying degrees of motion in the foreground and background.
