The Dallas Cowboys football team will begin their 2009 season in a new stadium facility in Arlington, Texas and have elected to use Chyron’s HyperX3 system for creating graphics displays on what is billed as the "world’s largest HD video board."
"The scale of this new stadium is breathtaking," said Kevin Prince, Chyron’s chief operating officer. "It is in fact the world's largest column-free room, and the 80,000-100,000 people that it will accommodate will have unobstructed views of not only the event on the field, but to an equally massive HD screen right in front of them."
The HyperX3 system will be used in conjunction with Chyron’s Lyric Pro7 design and rendering engine to build graphics.
Completion of the new $1.1 billion stadium is set for June. It features both a retractable roof and retractable end zone doors, and is described as "the most technologically advanced sports and entertainment venue in the world." The facility has been selected to host the 2101 NBA All-Star Game and the 2011 Super Bowl.
