The DTVD 3030 provides broadcast-quality 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 decoding with multiple video and audio inputs and outputs.
Broadcast Technology has announced a series of compact MPEG-2 decoders for introduction at NAB. Three versions are available, each occupying a single slot in the company’s DTRS 3000 chassis.
Equipped with 4:2:0 component analog audio and video inputs, the DTVD 3010 is a device for single or multichannel video monitoring. The DTVD 3020 is a monitoring decoder with 4:2:0 analog input and SDI outputs. Designed for use in broadcast transmission contribution, the DTVD 3030 provides broadcast-quality 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 decoding with multiple video and audio inputs and outputs.
Modular construction makes the DTVD 3000 decoders suitable for digital television head-ends and rebroadcast networks where space is at a premium. Up to 14 modules can be housed in a single DTRS 3000 chassis occupying 3 RU. Power consumption is 8W per module. Dual DVB ASI input or ASI loopthrough is optional for all DTVD 3000 modules.
The DTVD 3000 series incorporates new features including BISS mode 1 and E fixed-key descrambling, vertical blanking interval signal processing, AFD subtitling and teletext. An on-screen display shows service descriptor, video PES bit rate, audio level indication, teletext presence, subtitling presence and video aspect ratio.
