Bluefish444 video cards secure RoHS compliance

Bluefish444 has announced its entire product line is RoHS-compliant for sale in EC member countries.

Since July 2006, the European directive on the restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS) bans the use of certain substances in electrical and electronic equipment.

The EC directive 2002/95/EG bars the following substances in the production process: cadmium, chromium VI, lead, mercury, PBB and PBDE. The directive aims at promoting lead-free soldering of components, and at banning toxic flame-retardants in cable production for the sake of alternative, environmental-friendly products.

After intense checks, controls and tests, Bluefish444 has integrated RoHS-compliant components into its production process. All Bluefish444 products now comply with the EC directive. Integrating RoHS-compliance components has not resulted in any change in product functionality or reliability, according to the company.
