Blue Order integrates Telestream technology into its media asset management solutions

Blue Order, a global provider of media asset management (MAM) solutions, has purchased and designed Telestream's FlipFactory workflow automation software into its suite of broadcast MAM solutions.

The move is designed to automate the process of generating low-resolution proxy images from high-resolution content stored on broadcast video servers. Once the combined product is ready for market, Blue Order said it will partner with Telestream to offer automated proxy creation for other broadcast customers.

When used as a universal translator, FlipFactory delivers reliable and seamless connectivity between Blue Order's Media Archive and existing equipment at broadcast and content creation facilities.

Telestream's FlipFactory automatically converts digital media files into most of the major professional video and audio formats for easy distribution. It also automates the process of exchanging media and metadata between professional systems, including nonlinear edit systems and streaming servers.

Telestream customers include many of the world's leading broadcasters, such as BBC, SABC, ABC (U.S. and Australia), ORB, NRK, CNN and NBC.

Blue Order has installed many large-scale MAM solutions with leading broadcasters throughout the world that use its products to collect, index, catalog, retrieve and distribute audio-visual and multiformat content.

The Blue Order product suite, including Media Archive, Media Workbench and Media Serve, provides a comprehensive MAM framework to support new digital content services, optimize workflows and increase efficiencies along the content value chain.
