BBC Post Production works on its first HD drama
BBC Post Production has worked on its first high-definition drama for the BBC in collaboration with BBC Drama. The production team explored the possibilities offered by HD technology in order to maximize the quality of the piece and increase its export potential. This allowed the postproduction team to fully explore its full suite of HD equipment including its Quantel's eQ and bring BBC Drama's ideas to life.
'Every Time You Look at Me' features actors with disabilities in the two lead roles. The work was undertaken by BBC Post Production's Steve Jamison, who conformed and finished the drama using the eQ, while his colleague Chris Packman graded both the SD and the final HD versions. This project is set to be one of the first of many HD collaborations between BBC Post Production and program makers aimed at exploring the opportunities offered by working in HD.
'Every Time You Look at Me' will air in April.
